Designed for pre-school children, storyART Adventures features a story time and related craft. The children attend storyTIME with the Children’s Librarian and then come down to the Art Gallery for a related art/craft project. This is a free activity held every-other Thursday (September thru May). The goal is to introduce children to the literary & visual arts. Times: 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
The Arts Council partners with the Columbus Area Artists, Central Community College & Platte County Extension Office to offer area youth creative opportunities in the summer.
The Columbus Art Gallery welcomes tour groups from schools and the community. Tours can be tailored to specific age groups and artistic themes (ie. smaller children can participate in an artistic scavenger hunt). A related art project can be included with groups of 25 or less. Call Rod at 402-563-1016 to schedule a tour.
