The Missoula Children’s Theatre International Tour Project will make stars of kids in grades 1-12. The week long theatre residency provides an opportunity for kids to perform in an original musical comedy complete with costumes, sets, choreography, and lyrics that empower children. A team of Tour Directors develop and produce a full-scale musical with 50-60 local children as cast members, directors and technical crew. There are roles especially suited for all ages, skill and experience levels. No advance preparation is necessary just come and enjoy the FUN!
Auditions, intensive rehearsals, workshops, and finished performances for the public are all part of the residency. A participation fee of $45.00 for those cast in the production covers the entire week’s residency, the theater workshops.
Youth wishing to audition must arrive by 10:00 am Monday, July 16th (late arrivals will not be admitted to the audition) and plan to stay for the entire 2 hour audition. Some cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal following the audition. There is no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast in the performance. Auditions and rehearsals will be held at Federated Church’s Gymnasium, 2704 15th Street in Columbus, and performances will be held at Central Community College’s Fine Arts Theatre on July 21st at 3pm and 5:30pm.
