The Columbus Art Gallery actively promotes the visual arts, presenting new exhibits and opening receptions monthly, attracting 10,000 visitors annually.
The Exhibit Gallery is located in the lower level of the Columbus Public Library and features more than 1650 square feet of floor space and 92 feet of running wall space. There are also five moveable walls that add an additional 80 running feet of wall space.
Exhibits run from four to six weeks and are on display year-round. The artwork in these exhibits is for sale. These exhibits feature the works of regional artists, formal traveling exhibits from museums and universities, the annual exhibits of the Columbus Area Artists and Youth Art Month. In addition, the Gallery provides the space for the annual Calico Quilt Show and the Festival of Trees sponsored by the Columbus Women’s’ Club.
