This competition is made possible by our good friend, the late Robert Quick, who generously gave a memorial to the Columbus Art Gallery in honor of his late wife, Ernestine. Robert Quick was the Columbus Art Gallery’s first gallery preparator in 1983. From that point on, until he left Columbus in 1987, Mr. Quick was entirely responsible for the arranging, hanging and lighting of all shows. This annual competition is held in honor of Robert’s late wife, Ernestine, who had a long art career throughout the Midwest.
